Personal blurb

I have been a class teacher and SENCO at the school for many years and since January 2021, I have become the Deputy Head and a Staff Governor.  I love working at our school and have enjoyed being part of the wider community in Althorpe and Keadby and beyond.  I live in the Isle of Axholme area and I’m married with a grown-up daughter and son.

In school, I have a passion for ensuring all our children and families thrive, in all areas of their lives and have as many positive opportunities and experiences as possible.  Part of my role in school is to support the emotional and mental wellbeing of children, their families and our staff in school.  Over the years, I have gained lots of experience and training to understand and support children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

As a Staff Governor, I have been very interested to learn first-hand, about the wider leadership of the school and how our governing body holds the senior leaders of the school to account – supporting the school to be the best it can be.

Away from school life, I enjoy doing quite a variety of different things.  I love visiting places, travel, reading, pottering in the garden, yoga, Pilates, dance, walking my dog, taking part in different water sports, spending time with my family and friends and supporting my husband who has recently started up his own small business.
