PESSPA Statement of Intent
‘Healthy Body Healthy Mind’
Althorpe and Keadby primary School believes that healthy and active children achieve more. We want every A+K pupil to be;
- competent and confident physically
- Physically active for sustained periods of time
- competitive
- committed to maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle
Althorpe and Keadby Primary School ensures a safe and ‘buzzing’ physical education climate for children to thrive in, supporting their physical and mental wellbeing.
Children’s fundamental PE skills are developed to ensure that they are able to perform to the very best of their ability and are ready to be competitive at every level.
Pupils experience a wide range of physical activity in order for them to find their ‘thing’ and to ensure that they keep being active not only in school, but beyond, and into their teenage and adult years.
